Title: The Vampire Werewolf
Permission to Archive: Yeah, let me know first though.
Disclaimer: No money made, none of the characters are my creation.
Note: I personally do not think that Severus and Lucius ever went to school together, but they needed to for this story.

"He bit me! I can't believe that little Mud Blood BIT me!"

Lucius Malfoy's voice could be heard all the way from the Fourth Year Slytherin Boy's dorm into the common room. An annoyed Seventh Year trying to do his homework in the common room contemplated going up there and hexing him mute, but opted rather to put a silencing charm on the door. Slytherin don't hex other Slytherins without good reason.

Upstairs, Lucius waved his injured hand in front of a disinterested Severus's face. Behind him, Crabb and Goyal stood, unsure what to say. Timidly Crabbe had proposed going and beating the small Gryffindor up. Lucius snarled at him to shut up.

Now Severus looked up. "Did he break the skin?" he asked calmly. Lucius rolled his eyes. "No," he snapped. "Potter and Black dragged him away soon enough."

Shrugging his thin shoulders, Severus went back to his book. Furious, Lucius took it out of his hands. "Listen to me!" he raged, whacking the smaller Slytherin over the head with the commandeered book.

Severus glared at him and rubbed his head. "What?" he asked sharply, yanking the book back.

Attitude slightly improved now that he had his audience, Lucius beckoned his 'bodyguards' forward. "I think Lupin is-" he paused for dramatic effect.

"Is what?" Goyle asked after a minute or so.

"A Vampire!" Lucius announced with a triumphant gesture of his hand.

To his great annoyance, Severus began laughing. "What's so funny, Severus?" Lucius asked with a dark glare.

Severus shook his head and opened his book again. "You're insane. Leave me alone."

Disgruntled, Lucius turned to the other two. "We have to hunt him down for the good of the school. Can't have that monster running around like that. Especially if he's a Gryffindor."

The three gabbed their scarves and as they were about to leave, Severus muttered, his face still buried in the book, "Might want to make that stake that you aim for his heart out of silver."

Crabbe and Goyle looked at Lucius for an explanation. Lucius just rolled his eyes. "Pay no attention to him."

Severus kept his eyes trained to his book for a good five minutes after they left to make sure that they weren't coming back. Once certain, he put the book down and muttered to the empty room, "Lucius, Goyle, and Crabbe taking on the Four without me there to talk them through it, this is something I have to see."

************************************************************************
The fight between the three Slytherins and the four Gryffindors wasn't going well for either side. While the Slytherins were a bit more advanced in their magic, they were outnumbered and, without Severus, unorganized in their attacks.

"Damn Vampire!" Lucius screamed, ducking a nasty hex from Black. "I'll get you for biting me!"

"For the last time!" Remus yelled back, "I'm NOT a Vampire!"

"I propose we end this before anyone is hurt," Peter said, clutching his wand in his hand, not doing much good, but at least adding the number of targets for the Slytherins.

"Vampire!" Lucius roared.

Overhead a tiny black bat watched the proceedings. He rolled his eyes and smiled, small white fangs glistening against the black fur on his face. he thought to himself.

AN: The Prank hasn't been played yet, but I will explain how Severus already knows that Lupin is a werewolf in a hopefully soon written exercise.
