Writing Exercise #33

Since this is Labor Day weekend, and many of us will be, or have recently gone back to school, with tongue in cheek I invite you to tell us, in true HPWG fashion, something someone did on their summer vacation...

I want you to use SUMMER as as much of a main character in this exercise as you can. Use your talents as a writer to describe the indescribable.... But of course, I am expecting you to come up with the appropriate POTTERish twist. Tell us where Mad-Eye Moody went on holiday, or take us to the beach with the Dursleys. I am not concerned with WHERE you take your chosen character(s), or WHO you choose as your victim(s), but I want summer to be front and center stage.

We don't see much of what happens to J.K. Rowling's characters during the summer months, so use your imagination. Show us what all those exhausted teachers do to unwind before the next school year begins.... We know they're up to something. It's up to you to show us what that is.
